Microsoft Office 365 for Personal Use

Article Type: How to install Office 365 on your personal device. 

Question:

• I am an Anoka Ramsey Community College or Anoka Technical College student, employee or faculty member. Can I get Microsoft Office 365 for my personal device?

Yes, you may install Office 365 on up to 5 personal devices.  The license will remain active for approximately one year after your completed enrollment or employment at a Minnstate Institution.    

• Navigate to Office.com, or your campus website and sign in to your email account.   
  • Students: your StarID@go.minnstate.edu
  • Faculty/Staff: your StarID@minnstate.edu
    •   Enter your StarID password

• At the top left of the screen near the word Office365/Outlook click the app launcher.
  • Click “Microsoft 365”     

• At the right side of the screen click on the “Install Apps” dropdown menu.
  • Click “Microsoft 365 apps”

• The Office 365 executable will now be downloaded.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to finish installation.
