How to Install M365 on Your Personal Device
You may install M365 on up to 5 personal devices. The license will remain active for approximately one year after your completed enrollment or employment at a Minnstate Institution.
- Navigate to Office.com, or your campus website and sign in to your email account.
- Students: your StarID@go.minnstate.edu
- Faculty/Staff: your StarID@minnstate.edu
- Enter your StarID password
- At the top left of the screen near the word Office365/Outlook click the app launcher.
- Click “Microsoft 365 Copilot”
- If you went through office.com you will see the picture on the right.
At the left side of the screen click on the "Apps" menu
- Then click "Install apps"
- Click “Microsoft 365 apps”
- The Office 365 executable will now be downloaded.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to finish installation.
- After Installation is complete you will be prompted to sign in or enter a product key. Sign in using the following credentials:
- Students: your StarID@go.minnstate.edu
- Faculty/Staff: your StarID@minnstate.edu
- Enter your StarID password
- Office should now be licensed. You may have to close Office and reopen it for licensing to complete.
