What is Gradescope?
Gradescope is a tool designed to streamline the grading process for instructors. It allows for the submission, grading, and analysis of various types of assignments, including exams, homework, and coding projects. Gradescope helps instructors save time on grading and provide consistent, meaningful and detailed feedback to students. Key features include:
- Dynamic rubrics: Create and adjust rubrics on-the-fly, ensuring consistent and fair grading.
- Efficient grading tools: Grade assignments quickly with tools that support both online and paper-based submissions.
- Printed bubble sheet grading: Create multiple-choice answer key for the automatic grading of student submissions as they are uploaded.
- AI-assisted grading: Automatically group similar answers for faster grading.
- Detailed analytics: Gain insights into student performance with per-question and per-rubric statistics.
- Anonymous grading: Grade assignments without knowing the identity of the student to eliminate bias.
- Flexible feedback: Provide rich, detailed feedback using markdown for text annotations.
Create Gradescope Account
- Go to gradescope.com.
- Select Sign Up in the top right hand corner.
- Fill in the fields. Use your school email address to create your account. This will ensure that you are assigned to our Anoka-Ramsey Gradescope instance.
- In the School field, start typing Anoka-Ramsey and select Anoka-Ramsey Community College from the drop down.
- Click Sign up as an instructor. You will receive a Welcome email with a set your password link. Go through setting up your password.
- Go back to gradescope.com. Click Log In. Type in your school email address and the password you setup in the previous step. Click Log In.
