D2L: LDA and Student Enrollments

Article Type: General Information

Question: Does a F grade and LDA affect student enrollments in D2L?

Answer: Yes.  After receiving an F grade due to LDA, students are removed from their D2L course and added to the Withdrawals list.

  1. In your D2L course, click Communications.
  2. Click Classlist.
  3. Click the Enrollment Statistics button.  Scroll down to the Withdrawals list.
  • Once a student is removed from a course, their data is not viewable.  However, student data is not deleted.  Once you agree to re-admit the student back to your course and the registration office removes the F grade and LDA, the student will automatically be re-enrolled back into the course along with their data.
  • If you decide not to re-admit the student to your course but want to see their scores only, do the following:
  1. In your D2L course, click Communications.

  2. Click Classlist.

  3. Click the Enrollment Statistics button.

  4. Click the down arrow next to the student’s name.

  5. Click View Grades.

  • If you decide not to re-admit the student to your course but want to see their scores and data, I can re-enroll the student back into your course.  Email Rita Resendiz-Abfalter, M.Ed. and include the following information:
    • Six digit D2L course ID (e.g. 000123)
    • Student name
    • Student TechID
    • Date when you want student removed from your course
