Link to your MediaSpace video (including cloud-saved Zoom meetings) in D2L

Question: 

• How do I link a MediaSpace video, including Zoom meetings saved in the cloud, in D2L?

Answer:

• Within Kaltura MediaSpace
  1. Log into MediaSpace with your StarID and StarID password
  2. Click on the title that you want to add to your course
  3. Scroll down until you see under your video
  4. Click on the "Share" tab
  5. Copy the link in the text field

• Within D2L
  1. Login to D2L Brightspace with your StarID and StarID password
  2. Navigate to your course (either through the waffle (select a course widget) to the left of your name in D2L or by scrolling down and locating your course in the My Courses widget)
  3. Navigate to the Content section of the course (Content is found in the Materials drop down menu)
  4. Click on the "Upload/Create" button in the module where you want the video placed
  5. Click on "Create a link"
  6. In the window that pops up, type a title for your video in the Title field
  7. Paste the link to your video in the URL field
  8. Click the check box to open the link as an external resource
     • "Open as External Resource" means that the link will open in a new window. This is recommended. Opening the link inside of D2L can create problems with page rendering
