Activate your Minnesota State Zoom account

If you are a new employee or student, activate your Minnesota State Zoom account:

  • This simply means logging in to your Minnesota State Zoom account for the first time if you have never done so.
  • This will allow you to quickly join meetings that have been set to require authentication for meeting participants.
  • If you do not sign in with SSO, you will be named as Guest as your display name, and you may not be recognized by the meeting host or co-host.
  • Instructors will be able to more quickly and accurately identify the specific students who are joined, participating and speaking in classes and meetings.

To activate your account, simply log in for the first time:

  • Step 1) Go to: https://minnstate.zoom.us and select the Sign in button.
  • Step 2) Use Single Sign-On (SSO) and enter your StarID username (e.g., ab1234cd) and password

  • Step 3) Select Sign in with SSO.

  • Step 4) Enter company domain as minnstate and select Continue. Your default browser will open to the StarID sign in page.

  • Step 5) Enter your StarID username (e.g., ab1234cd) and password and select Sign on.
