Why can’t I edit documents in Office 365? How do I sign into Office 365?
You will need to sign into Office 365 if you are not able to edit documents or are prompted for sign in. The following dialog may appear upon opening Office, or after clicking sign in. Click Sign in
Sign in with your O365 credentials and click Next
Faculty/Staff: StarID@minnstate.edu
Students: StarID@go.minnstate.edu
Enter your StarID password and click Sign in
Approve your sign in request using the MFA method you have setup.
If you are prompted with “More information required” MFA has not been configured for your account. You will need to complete the MFA setup to continue. Please see the following knowledge base article for MFA setup:
https://oitservices.arcc-atc.com/TDClient/2198/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=130447
Once approved click through any remaining dialog boxes that appear. You should now be able to edit documents
If you are signed in and not able to edit documents close whichever O365 application(s) you are using and reopen them. This should resolve the issue.
