Creating Alternative Formats Using YuJa Panorama in D2L Brightspace for Students

The YuJa Panorama is a tool built into D2L Brightspace that can provide alternative formats for materials. This article provides instructions for creating alternative formats within D2L Brightspace.

YuJa Panorama automatically generates a range of alternative formats to support students’ learning needs. Students click an accessibility icon next to any file in a D2L's course Content area to choose a custom layout tailored to their specific needs. You can use the Alternative Formats menu to convert a document into an accessible format. Alternative Formats make learning more accessible!

1. In your D2L course, click Content.

2. Click the Accessibility Icon next to a file to access the Alternative Formats available for the file.

   
    
3. Click the Alternative Formats button. Several alternative formats are available. Hover over the format you would like and click Generate. Note: Not every Content item will have all Alternative Formats available.
   
   
    
4. The Alternative Formats available for the file will appear. To understand each Alternative Format available, visit Getting Started with Panorama for Students in D2L.
