D2L: Word Count in HTML Editor

Question: When my students type in the D2L HTML Editor, can they see a word count?

Answer: Yes.  Students can see the Word Count feature in the HTML Editor.

• For example, when students start a Discussion post and begin typing, they will see the Word Count in the lower left hand corner.

• Word Count is the default setting.  When students click on the Word Count button  on the toolbar, they can view count stats and choose to display the Character Count.

• Students can also select text and the Word Count will show the number of selected words.
