D2L: Extending Course End Dates

Question: Will my students be able to access my D2L course after the end date?

Answer: No.  In order for students to access the course, the end date must be extended.

• If your course ends, for example, May 14, your D2L course will close on May 14 at 11:59 PM unless you extend your course end date. 
• You may extend your course end date for your students to give them time to finish up assignments, view final exam results and feedback, view grades, or export their coursework to their ePortfolio.

To view and edit your D2L course start and end dates, follow one of the methods below.

Method 1:  From the My Home page

1. In your My Courses list, hover your mouse over the course image.
2. Click the 3-dot button.
3. Click Course Offering Information.  Scroll down to view/edit your course Start Date and End Date.
4. Click Save.

Method 2:  Inside your course

1. Click Course Admin.
2. Click Course Offering Information.  Scroll down to view/edit your course Start Date and End Date.
3. Click Save.
