Can I Use Test Results from ACT, MCA, & SAT?

Question: Can I use test results from ACT, MCA, & SAT?

Answer:

Yes, students can use alternative placement scores for course registration. You may be exempt from taking all or portions of the placement test. Students whose scores are lower in one of these areas must take the placement test in that section. ACT, MCA, and SAT scores are valid for five years.

If you have taken the Accuplacer test at another college, have completed a college-level math or English course through another institution, or would like ACT, SAT or MCA scores to be considered in course placement, please send an official copy of your scores or transcripts to the Records and Registration Office.

To view alternative placement scores visit Testing Services site.
