Respondus LDB & Monitor: Unexpected Error. Please contact your administrator.

In D2L, clicking on Assessments > Quizzes > LockDown Browser tab - generates "Unexpected Error: Please contact the system administrator."

Question: 

  • Why is the LockDown Browser Dashboard Not Opening for ONE Course? 
    Error:  Unexpected Error. Please contact your administrator. 

Resolution:

  • Check that the course has the Self-assessments and Surveys tools enabled. These tools are required to be enabled in the course for the LDB Dashboard to open. In the course, instructors can go to Course Admin > Tools to enable both tools. If this does not fix the issue, check other possibilities in the Respondus article.
