What do FN and FW grades mean?

An FN grade means that a student registered for a course, but never attended the course and never officially dropped it or withdrew from it.

An FW grade means that a student registered for a course and began attending the course, but never completed it and never officially withdrew from it.

Both of these grades have a negative impact on grade point average (GPA) and completion rate and may impact your ability to attend Anoka Technical College and receive financial aid. See the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy for more details.

If you are not sure why you have a FN or FW grade, contact your course instructor. If the withdrawal deadline has not yet passed, you can change your FN or FW grade to a W grade (which does not impact GPA) within your eServices account.
