Applying for financial aid

How do I apply for financial aid?

To apply for financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. We encourage you to complete the FAFSA as early as possible. The FAFSA is available as early as October 1 for the following academic year. To ensure processing has begun on your FAFSA prior to the semester beginning, make sure to submit it by July 15th for the fall semester start, December 15th for the spring semester start, or April 15th for the summer semester start.

Completing the FAFSA also has the added benefit of saving your place in the courses you are enrolled in for a particular term. Typically, a student must make some type of payment arrangement prior to the tuition and fees deadline, and completing a FAFSA counts! Other options are setting up a payment plan on eservices, making a payment (online or with the Business Office), or providing documentation regarding your third-party payer to our Business Office (VA benefits, employer benefits, or workforce development aid all count as a third party). For questions on payment arrangements, contact our Business Office at 763-433-1600.
