Registration error codes

I am receiving an error code when I try to register. What does it mean?

The most common error messages, along with possible solutions, are listed below:

Error 6: Student on Hold. You have a hold on your account so are unable to register. It could be an unpaid balance or academic suspension at ATC or another Minnesota State school. Check the messages in your Dashboard in eServices to find out more details. If you have an unpaid balance, contact the Business Office at the school where you owe money. If you were suspended from ATC or another Minnesota State school, select here to learn how to appeal the suspension.

Error 12: Course requires special permission. The course requires special permission from the instructor. Contact the instructor to see if they will give you permission to register. If granted, the instructor will need your Tech ID to enter edit code 12 (permission to register) for the specific course. You will then be able to register through your eServices account after the instructor has entered the permission.

Error 13: Requested course is full. The course is full because the maximum enrollment has been met and there are no seats left. Add yourself to the waitlist for the class if this is an option. If someone drops the course and you are next on the wait list, you will receive a notification sent to your college email account that you can register for the course. Note that you must take action within the timeline specified in the email using the link in the email.

Error 19: Registration restricted to specific major(s). To register for the course, you must be admitted into one of the programs listed on the course. Click on the class name link to see more details. If you believe there was an error and you should have been admitted into one of the programs listed, email registrar@anokatech.edu

Error 34: Immunization information required for registration. Minnesota Statute 135A.14 requires proof that all students born after 1956 are vaccinated against diphtheria, tetanus, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR). Any non-exempt student who does not provide the required immunization information within 45 days after the first enrollment cannot register. Complete the immunization record form by logging in with your StarID and password. Once the Records Office has processed your form, you will need to remove all courses from your cart and add them back in to register.

Error 68: Student must take/pass test or satisfy course pre-reqs. The course requires you to obtain minimum scores on placement tests or take another course first. Click on the class name link to see the prerequisites. If you believe you have met the prerequisites, contact the instructor of the course. If the instructor agrees that you have met the prerequisites, they will need your Tech ID to enter edit code 68 for the specific course. You will then be able to register through your eServices account after the instructor has entered the permission.

If the prerequisite is a course and you have not yet taken it, register for it now.
If the prerequisite is a certain score on a placement test, select here for more information on taking the placement test again.
