The password policies of the email and MinnState systems share the same length and character restrictions, however, the email system does not allow some passwords that meet the published requirements. When that happens, the StarID password is unable to synchronize with the email system. To avoid problems, do not end a password with the # symbol and avoid the use of proper names and words in your password.
